Summer-themed paintings
More than 30 summer-themed paintings created by Chinese artists are on display at Shenzhen Art Museum until June 19. The exhibits are selected from 4,000 items collected by the museum over the past 40 years. Meanwhile, another exhibition of paintings by local children aged between 4 and 11 are also on display at the museum until June 5.

Free clarinet concert
Dutch clarinetist Michel Marang will give a free concert at the Shenzhen Grand Theater. Free tickets can be claimed at the ticketing office beginning at 10 a.m. June 3. Audience can also call 2696-6119 or 2590-6000 to claim free tickets.

New English books
More than 2,000 English books published during the past two years from global publishing companies, such as John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (Wiley), Oxford University Press (OUP) and Cambridge University Press, are on display at the Shenzhen Library. The books are not for sale and readers can register with the library staff and borrow them after 45 days. The books’ categories include geography, humanities, art and travel.

European glass pieces
Glass pieces on loan from the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague are on display, offering a thoughtful, expressive, and utterly breathtaking exploration of glassmaking in Europe from the 4th century B.C. to the present day.
