To mark the 11th China’s Cultural Heritage Day, the Shenzhen Museum’s Civic Center outlet is holding free activities for visitors. Entry is free.
China’s Cultural Heritage Day is a yearly event on the second Saturday in June.
In 2005, the State Council issued the Notice on Strengthening Cultural Heritage Protection, putting up specific requests on the protection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
Traditional Chinese opera
Traditional Chinese operas, including Kunqu, Beijing opera, Huangmei opera, Shaoxing opera, Cantonese opera, Yu opera, Qinqiang, will be staged. The historical operas represent the different cultures of different Chinese regions.

Handicraft demonstration
Intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, rope knitting, paper-cutting and silhouette paper cutting, will be demonstrated.

Treasure evaluation
Historical treasure experts and archaeologists will give free evaluation of any ancient Chinese antiques or artifacts brought.

Cultural lecture
A lecture on Kunqu opera and Huangmei opera will be held in Chinese.
