French pianist Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt will give a recital Saturday.
Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt studied at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris with Bruno Rigutto and Georges Pludermacher and at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Michael Endres. He also took lessons with Elisso Wirssaladze at the Moscow State Conservatoire.
At the age of 14 he played Mendelssohn’s “First Piano Concerto” with the Orchestre Colonne at the Maison de la Radio in Paris, and performed the same year as a soloist at the Theater des Champs-Elysees for a tribute to the Steinway Concert Piano No. 500,000.
