Pop concert by hot singers
    2016-June-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Pop singers Jam Hsiao, Steve Wong, Dave Wang, Yu Quan, Tang Yijia and Xu Yiming will give a show Sunday.

Hsiao’s solid vocals carry an explosive force, yet often touch the hearts of his audience, especially through his live performance. His deep, clear and penetrating voice makes him a standout among Chinese singers. Hsiao’s performances span many songs, from love songs and pop music to Taiwanese folk music.

Besides drums, he can play the keyboard, piano, saxophone, flute and guitar. He has also composed and released many songs.

Wong is a Hong Kong musician. He is best known as the bassist for the rock band Beyond. Wong formed a new band called Picasso Horses after the disbanding of Beyond in 2005.

Wang’s music and lyrics can be described as melancholy and haunting in a blend of rock ballads and blues, attributed to his impoverished and tough upbringing. Wang is also an established songwriter, having written many of his most popular songs, but he also covers songs by other artists.

Yu Quan is a soft rock playing duo from Beijing. It was founded in 1998 between Chen Yufan and Hu Haiquan. The duo has released nine albums.
