THE NBA is reviewing the incident between LeBron James and Draymond Green in Friday night’s NBA Finals game, and the ruling could put Green on the bench for one to two games.
ESPN reported Saturday a league source said there is no timetable for a decision, but given Green’s history, if the league levies a flagrant 1 foul on him, he would be suspended for Game 5 tonight in Oakland. If the league determines he committed a flagrant 2, he would be suspended for the next two games.
Golden State won Friday, 108-97, to go up 3-1 in the series.
The incident under review started when James tried to fight through Green’s pick and Green went down on the floor. As James stepped past Green, the Warriors forward swung his arm and appeared to strike James in the groin. The two players then fought for the rebound and were called for offsetting fouls. At that point, James and Green traded words and were separated by teammates.
