concert and bazaar
A Ukrainian charity event will be held at the International Conference Center of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School on June 18.
The event will include a Ukrainian-themed concert and bazaar, where performers, artists and cooks prepare food and show off pieces of art. A charity concert will start at 3 p.m. The program will include numbers of Ukrainian and international artists. All of the income from this charity event will be transferred to Ukrainian kids in need.

Zhou Yihong’s art work
The paintings by Shenzhen artist Zhou Yihong are on exhibit at Guan Shanyue Art Museum through June 19.
Most of the paintings are human portraits or landscapes in Shenzhen or neighboring cities. Zhou, who has witnessed the development of Shenzhen since the city’s opening up more than three decades ago, seldom adopts a social perspective in his art expression but gives vent to his artistic talent through topics that are familiar in life, with skillful use of color and ink.

English corner
This week, the English corner’s topic is “the history and culture of Houston.” You’ve heard of Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets but what else do you know about this large American city? At the event, we will talk about the history and culture of Houston.
