HELEN MIRREN has confirmed in an interview with Elle that she is joining the cast of “Fast 8.”

    The news will see Mirren join Vin Diesel in the eighth installment of “The Fast and the Furious” franchise, which is due out in 2017.

    It has been teased previously by Mirren herself that she would be joining the cast, and as the film’s villain, however commenting on the news released by Elle, the British actress only said, “I’ve always rather loved driving. I said, ‘I’ll be in it, but only if I’m allowed to drive if I do drive in it.’ But we’ll see. We’ll see how it transpires.”

    As well as Diesel, Mirren will also be joining already confirmed cast members Charlize Theron, Dwayne Johnson and Jordana Brewster.(SD-Agencies)
