    2016-June-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SIX districts in Shenzhen were in the top 50 administrative districts in China with the highest housing prices, the Shenzhen Evening News reported yesterday.

A report released by creprice.cn, a website run by the Chinese Real Estate Industry Association, showed that Nanshan District ranked sixth in terms of the average housing price among all administration districts in China.

Futian District ranked ninth and Luohu District 15th. Yantian District was in the 20th place and Bao’an District in 21st. Longgang District ranked 28th, according to the report.

The top three districts are all located in Beijing’s central area, with the average housing price as high as 94,877 yuan (US$14,431) per square meter.

Compared with other first-tier cities, Guangzhou has seen stable home prices with slight growth since 2015.

Tianhe District that has the highest housing price in Guangzhou ranked 19th in the report, with the average price standing around 32,000 yuan per square meter.

According to another report released by the website, Shenzhen has the third-highest average rent nationwide, following Beijing and Shanghai.

The monthly rent of apartments in Shenzhen was 66.25 yuan per square meter on average, meaning a 100-square-meter apartment’s rent would be above 6,000 yuan per month.

Data from the city’s urban planning, land and resources commission showed that 835 new homes were traded in Shenzhen last week, a week-on-week growth of 27 percent.

The transaction price was 68,149 yuan per square meter, increasing by 17.6 percent over a week ago.

A total of 1,062 pre-owned apartments were traded last week, going up by 21 percent week on week. The transaction price was 51,437 yuan per square meter on average.
