A salon on Chinese and British TV drama production and censorship will be held.
“Black Mirror,” a British television anthology series, will be shown at the event. The drama features speculative fiction with dark and sometimes satirical themes that examine modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technology. The series has been acclaimed as being innovative and shocking with plot twists reminiscent of “The Twilight Zone.”
At the salon, Nausheen Ishtiaq-Chen, a filmmaker who is working in Shenzhen on post-production of a documentary about life in New York City and Karachi, will join talks with some Chinese speakers.
