    TV series-turned-movie

A SOUTH KOREAN television series “Descendants of the Sun” will have a film version in China directed by Zhang Yibai.

The cast of the film hasn’t been decided.

In KBS2’s 16-episode drama series shot in Greece in 2015, the main characters were played by Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo.

    New film

CHINESE director Cheng Er is coming back with another thriller titled “The Wasted Times,” which stars veteran Chinese actor Ge You and actress Zhang Ziyi.

The thriller, set to hit Chinese theaters Dec. 23, tells the story of a Japanese spy hunting down a former friend for the murder of his family in the 1920s in Shanghai. The film also stars famous Japanese actor Asano Tadonobu, Chinese celebrity couple Huo Siyan and Du Jiang, as well as Chinese actress Yuan Quan and Yan Ni.

    Birthday girl

LINDSAY LOHAN (L), who turned 30 Saturday, was on vacation with her boyfriend, Russian business mogul Egor Tarabasov (R) in Mauritius. Lohan and Tarabasov have been living together in London since March, when she moved in after the pair had dated for seven months.

More than a year after she was taken off probation for the first time in seven years, Lohan seems to be turning it around. “I can’t turn back time,” she said. “But if I could, I would have listened more to my mother and gone back home to NYC earlier in life and chosen my friends more wisely.”(SD-Agencies)
