3,000 PIGS IN INUNDATED FARM GET HELP
    2016-July-6  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

An employee wipes away tears as he walks through a flooded farm in Lu’an, Anhui Province, on Monday. Workers from a local agricultural company and some volunteers arrived at the farm yesterday to help transfer the 3,000 pigs, who had been neck-deep in water for more than one day due to heavy flooding that made it impossible to move them to a safe place, according to Li Xiaobo, the pig farm’s manager. Some pigs drowned, he said. Photos of workers crying in front of pigs in the farm in Shucheng County went viral online Monday, drawing public attention to the pigs’ fate.
