A WOMAN who has worn nothing but pink for the last 35 years and lives in a pink home with all pink accessories, even pink kitchen utensils, is celebrating being officially the world’s pinkest person.
Kitten Kay Sera, 52, from Hollywood, California, has spent the last three decades wearing the shade to earn the Ripley’s Believe it or Not title and considers herself the world’s only “pink passionista.”
“Wearing anything but pink is impossible for me. Pink has become my life and I have to admit it’s a relief. Who wants the bother of color co-ordination? And for me pink is empowering,” says Sera.
She has even treats her dog Miss Kisses to beetroot juice dyes to turn her coat a vet — and vegetarian — approved soft rose color. “I consider myself proudly to be a pink flamingo in a world of pigeons,” she says. “It’s always been my dream and I even sold my car to come to Hollywood and start my career but never my pink items.”
According to the world’s ultimate “Pink Lad,” “The pinkification of my world is a work in progress and its cost me over a million pounds and counting. It all adds up and people from all over the world are constantly sending me pink items.”
Being the Queen of Pink has not only gained Sera official recognition but she is in demand from celebrities.
She continued, “I just finished a photo shoot with Paris Hilton. Ruby Rose, Ellen Von Unwerth have shot here and Beyoncé’s a pal also. Fashion houses, including Moschino, are constantly asking to use me or my pink home in photo shoots.”
For Sera her day begins when she gets out of her bed, complete with pink sheets pillows and duvet to slip into a pink robe.
After washing her face with pink soap in her pink bathroom with its pink toilet paper she’ll feed Miss Kisses doggy treats in a pink dog bowl before preparing her breakfast using totally pink crockery and cutlery after turning on her pink radio for news updates. After a shower using pink products and pink towels she puts on her make-up which includes hundreds of shades of pink lipsticks at a pink vanity table before looking through literally thousands of pink clothes.
