Hou Dengke’s photos
Photographs by late Chinese photographer Hou Dengke (1950-2003) are on display. Born in a village in Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, Hou was a worker and later an official for a railway company. Farming and migrant workers are the themes of his black-and-white photography, recording social changes in modern China.

Cantemus Regensburg
Choir
Cantemus Regensburg Choir from Regensburg, a historical city alongside the Rhine in Germany, will give a concert July 30. The choir was founded in 1954 and has grown into a large chorus of 700 members.

Ancient porcelain
Relics provided by Guangdong Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art and Macao Museum are on display at the “Maritime Porcelain Road” exhibition. The 180 exhibits showcase Chinese pottery and porcelain dating back to the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D. 220), Chinese made-for-export porcelain with designs commissioned by European buyers.
