Forget karaoke, try Hold-Oke
    2016-07-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Augmented reality (AR) could soon put you on stage next to your favorite musicians.

AR firm Vntana has revealed a new “hologram* karaoke experience” which allows fans to perform a duet with singer-songwriter Rob Thomas.

The platform aims to provide a new way for celebrities and fans to engage with each other, allowing fans to “step into their world” to sing a duet. The hologram experience is a part of the tour’s VIP package.

VIP fans will be given the choice of three songs to select from, and perform one as a hologram duet with Thomas.

The custom display will project your live hologram next to the hologram of Thomas, who will invite you to sing a duet on the mini “stage.”

Once the performance is over, fans will be emailed a video. The team at Vntana says the hologram acts as a virtual meet and greet, and helps to make artists more accessible to their fans.(SD-Agencies)
