The Wedding Ringer

    11 p.m. on HBO

    Socially awkward Doug is two weeks from marrying the girl of his dreams, but he has a problem: He doesn’t have any groomsmen for the occasion. Desperate and running out of time, Doug calls upon Jimmy, owner and operator of Best Man Inc., a company that provides attendants for friendless grooms. As Doug tries to pull off the con, a bromance unexpectedly blossoms between Jimmy and himself.

    When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack Earth, using the games like PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede and Space Invaders as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper has to call on his childhood best friend, 1980s video game champion Sam Brenner, to lead a team of old-school arcaders to defeat the aliens and save the planet.
