LADY GAGA and Taylor Kinney are going their separate ways.

    “Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,” the singer confirmed on Instagram on Tuesday with a black and white photo of the pair with their arms wrapped around each other’s shoulder.

    Earlier this month, Gaga, 30, and Kinney, 35, ended their engagement after five years together. The “Chicago Fire” actor proposed on Valentine’s Day 2015 at the singer’s family’s Manhattan restaurant Joanne’s Trattoria.

    “We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other,” the singer concluded her post.

    The couple have always been very supportive of each other’s careers. At the Golden Globes this year, Gaga, 30, revealed Kinney, 35, turned down the opportunity to take the stage at the award ceremony to make sure all eyes were on her.

    Earlier this year, Kinney told People he and the Grammy winner were keeping their wedding plans “a surprise.” He also attended the Academy Awards with Gaga, who gave an emotional performance of her song “Til It Happens to You.”

    “I never thought anyone would ever love me because I felt like my body was ruined by my abuser. But he loves the survivor in me. He’s stood by me all night proudly and unashamedly. THAT’S a real man,” Gaga captioned an Instagram photo of the duo afterwards.

    Gaga is vacationing in Cabo with friends and is no longer sporting her engagement ring. (SD-Agencies)
