Children’s play “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf,” a box-office success in Chinese cities in 2009, will be back in Shenzhen this weekend.
“Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf” is a Chinese animated television series, which was created by Huang Weiming, Lin Yuting and Luo Yinggeng, and produced by Creative Power Entertaining. The show is about a group of goats living on the Green-Green Grassland, and the story revolves around a clumsy wolf who wants to hunt them. Since its debut in June 2005, the TV series has been broadcast on almost 50 channels in China, and become the most successful domestic cartoon series in recent years.
Creative Power Entertaining has followed its success on TV by producing three films and one play. In January 2009, the first “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf” movie — “The Super Snail Adventure” — broke the domestic box-office record for a Chinese animated film.
In January 2010, the second “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf” movie — “Full of Vigor” — was released. The third movie, “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf — Moon Castle: The Space Adventure” was released in 2011.
