A THREE-DAY exhibition showcasing all of the key industries of Bao’an District, in west Shenzhen, opens today at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, bringing the latest products and technologies to fairgoers.
The first district-level industry fair is being held at Hall 1 of the convention center in the city’s CBD area. It is also the first time the Bao’an District Government has held such a large-scale exhibition to display its industries.
The 2016 Bao’an Industry Development Expo is organized by the Bao’an District Government, Bao’an Economic Cooperation and Promotion Bureau, and Shenzhen Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association. The expo expects to have 50,000 professional purchasers and visitors from 17 countries and regions.
According to the organizers, the purpose of the expo is to attract more quality corporations and talents to settle in Bao’an, where the government offers favorable policies and rich resources. The expo will serve as a platform to integrate and share industrial resources.
The expo, covering a total area of 30,000 square meters, is divided into 15 sections based on the district’s various industries, including intelligent equipment, smart home appliances, new materials, creative culture, and agriculture.
Forums and product launches are also key highlights of the exhibition. Think tanks and industry experts from home and abroad are expected to share their viewpoints on the state of their industries during the exhibition.
Two high-end forums will take place at the subvenue in Bao’an District. A summit focusing on “Made in China 2025” and upgrading industries in Bao’an will be held this afternoon, while another upscale forum on innovative development of modern logistics and supply chains will take place tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, an array of product launches, sourcing conferences and experiential activities regarding cutting-edge technologies, like the virtual reality (VR) experiencing session, are prepared for both industrial professionals and interested residents.
To attract more talents to work in Bao’an, a job fair named Talent Carnival is also being held during the exhibition. About 110 enterprises will have more than 1,100 intermediate or senior posts available for jobseekers.
Two other exhibitions — an intelligent equipment expo and an electronic equipment expo — will be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center at the coming weekend. The three exhibitions are expected to attract more than 700 professional buyers from all around the world and over 20,000 domestic purchasers. The organizers have already distributed more than 50,000 tickets.
