A multimedia display of Van Gogh’s work, letters and the environment he lived in are being held at the “Van Gogh Age: Impressionism Exhibition” at Window of the World.
The exhibition features 35 huge screens displaying 3,000 pieces of paintings and photos. The exhibit aims to offer visitors a multi-sensory way to enjoy art.
Synchronized to a powerful classical score, the images create a thrilling display that fills walls, ceilings and even the floor — enveloping attendees in the vibrant colors and vivid details and brush strokes that constitute Van Gogh’s unique style.
The exhibition will explore the work and life experiences of Van Gogh from 1880 to 1890. One goal of the show is to help interpret the thoughts, feelings and state of mind during his time in Arles, Saint Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise, the locations where he created many of his masterpieces.
