    Iron sculptures

    More than 50 iron sculptures, collages and paper-cuttings created by Ren Rong are on display. Ren incorporates ancient Chinese characters, paper cutting, and shadow puppets in his work. He studied at the Nanjing University of the Arts and Kunst Akademie Düsseldorf.

    Dates: Until Aug. 31

    Venue: Art 1618, Baby City, Hongwei Haiyi Bay, 1088 Central Road, Houhai, Nanshan District (南山区后海中心路1088号鸿威海怡湾贝比城1618艺术空间)

    Ancient porcelain

    Relics are on display at the “Maritime Porcelain Road” exhibition. The 180 exhibits showcase Chinese pottery and porcelain dating back to the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D. 220), Chinese made-for-export porcelain with designs commissioned by European buyers.

    Dates: Until Sept. 18
