喇叭腔

    lǎbāqiāng     

    Meaning: "喇叭" means "bugle," and "腔" means "tune." This term originated from Shanghai dialect. Shanghai locals believe the bugle tune sounds like saying "going wrong, going wrong" in their dialect, and they use the term "bugle tune" to refer to situations where something is botched up.

    A: 周末出去郊游，都安排好了吗？

    Zhōumò chūqù jiāoyóu, dōu ānpái hǎo le ma?

    Has everything been arranged for the outing this weekend?

    B: 差不多了，车辆、午餐都联系好了。就是参加的具体人数，需要一个个确认。
