Makoto Shinkai’s works
    2016-August-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Japanese anime director and graphic designer Makoto Shinkai is exhibiting photos and posters from his animated movies “The Place Promised in Our Early Days,” “5 Centimeters Per Second,” “Children Who Chase Lost Voices” and “The Garden of Words.” Videos of how these movies were made will also be shown. Shinkai studied Japanese literature at Chuo University where he was a member of the youth literature club. He traces his passion for art to the manga, anime and novels he was exposed to while in middle school. Shinkai has been called “the new Miyazaki” in several reviews.
