Japanese electronicore band Crossfaith will perform Tuesday and Swedish heavy metal band Sonic Syndicate will play the next night at B10 Live.
Crossfaith was formed in 2006. The band released their first demo “Blueprint of Reconstruction” in 2008. The band consists of vocalist Kenta Koie, guitarist Kazuki Takemura, Hiroki Ikegawa on bass guitar, drummer Tatsuya Amano and Terufumi Tamano on keyboards. They are renowned for their fusion of metalcore and post-hardcore with electronic dance music, and for their intense live performances.
They released their first studio album “The Artificial Theory for the Dramatic Beauty” through Zestone Records in 2009 and their second studio album “The Dream, The Space” in 2011 through Tragic Hero Records. Crossfaith then released their second EP “Zion” in September 2012, acted as a promotional release to countries outside Japan.
Crossfaith have used clean vocals since their first album. Crossfaith also incorporates spoken word and whispers into their songs. They have typically been considered as electronicore, due to their blend of influences from metal, electronica hardcore, metalcore and industrial metal.
Sonic Syndicate is influenced by Swedish melodic death metal bands such as In Flames and Soilwork and American metalcore bands like Killswitch Engage and All That Remains.
The band was founded in 2002 by brothers Richard (vocals) and Roger Sjunnesson (guitars) with their younger cousin Robin Sjunnesson (guitars) under the name Fallen Angels, finally switching to Sonic Syndicate in 2004. As of today the band consists of Robin (now the only original member) alongside British singer Nathan J. Biggs, drummer John Bengtsson and bass player Michel Barzen.
