Kanye West writes poem about McDonald’s
    2016-August-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

KANYE WEST has been inspired by the Golden Arches.

The rapper penned an unexpected poem about fast-food chain McDonald’s, of all things, for Frank Ocean’s glossy magazine “Boys Don’t Cry,” which arrived Aug. 20 in conjunction with the singer’s new album, “Blonde.”

“McDonald’s man / McDonald’s man / The French fries had a plan / The French fries had a plan,” West begins the poem, which appeared alongside a spread of high-fashion photos, poems penned by Ocean, short stories, an outline for a TV show and interviews with Lil’ B and Om’Mas Keith.

Other contributors listed in the credits for the magazine included Tyler, the Creator, James Blake, A$AP Rocky, and photographer Nabil Elderkin.

After releasing his visual album “Endless” Aug. 18 and a music video for “Nikes” early Saturday, Ocean released “Blonde” on Apple Music. To commemorate the release of the album and its accompanying periodical, the singer staged pop-up shops in New York, London, Chicago and Los Angeles.
