Paris Jackson  loves the Beatles — just like her late dad
    2016-08-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    帕里斯•杰克逊对披头士情有独钟,和父亲音乐品味一脉相承

Paris Jackson has inherited her dad’s love of the Beatles.

During a visit to NYC, the King of Pop’s s daughter paid a visit to the John Lennon memorial, Strawberry Fields, in Central Park. Jackson, 18, shared a photo of herself and her drummer boyfriend, Michael Snoddy, placing flowers atop the iconic black-and-white “Imagine” mosaic on Sunday. The blonde wore a crop top and had her hair tucked in a knit cap to visit the busy tourist attraction; Snoddy smoked a cigarette.

“Flowers for Lennon,” is how Paris captioned the photo.

The couple, who were accompanied by Snoddy’s younger brother, then made their way over to the Dakota, the building where Lennon lived and was gunned down. Michael and his younger sib posed against the railing of the building and got silly for their photo op.

Paris was raised on the Beatles. The late Michael Jackson was such a Fab Four fan that he famously outbid Paul McCartney, his good pal at the time, to buy the rights to more than 200 of the Beatles’ songs in 1985. (The move brought an end to the friendship of the singers of “Say Say Say.”) However, Jackson’s estate no longer owns it. When Michael later ran into financial problems, he sold a 50 percent interest in it to Sony. After he died, the company bought out Jackson’s estate, taking complete control of the coveted catalogue.

Paris is a music lover and has posted references to the Beatles on social media before. (The most memorable one was when she was having emotional issues in 2013.) She is also a fan of Prince, David Bowie, and Van Halen, which you can see on her arm.

As for whether she will follow her father’s footsteps into the family business remains to be seen. The teenager, who still seems to be figuring herself out, has been in NYC for an unspecified professional venture. On August 18, she posted a photo from what appeared to be a photo shoot. Paris, who was getting a kiss from Snoddy, had her makeup done and was wearing a short dress and thigh-high stockings. “i’ve been his groupie for a while now, time to switch rolls [sic],” she wrote.

Well, in the words of her icon: It’s getting hard to be someone, but it all works out.
