    2016-August-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    Meaning:

“黄昏” means “dusk,” and “恋” means “romantic relationship.” While in Chinese, people use the metaphor of rising sun for youth, the image of setting sun is associated with old age. Therefore, a romance involving two seniors is often called “黄昏恋,” which literally means “love at dusk.”

    Example:

Grandpa Ma is in high spirits lately. He also dresses himself better.

Zìcóng tā lǎobànr qùshì, tā yīzhí mènmèn bùlè de。

He’s been unhappy since his wife passed away.

Wǒ zuótiān kànjiàn tā zài gōngyuán lǐ hé yīgè lǎo tàitài yīqǐ sànbù, yǒushuō yǒuxiào de。

I saw him in the park with an old woman yesterday, walking and talking.

    Yuánlái shì huánghūnliàn。

So he has found his December heartbeat.
