Chelsea willing to offer Fabregas to Inter
    2016-August-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

HAVING been benched for the first three games of the season for Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas could depart for Serie A before the transfer window closes.

A deal could be discussed with Inter as those clubs also prepare to hold talks over midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who faces an equally uncertain future in Milan himself.

The Spaniard, who has made over 100 appearances for his country, is the type of player who could be a big asset to Inter at their current stage of reconstruction and a deal could be discussed by the clubs over the coming day.

Inter’s deficiencies in the center of the park were emphasized in their 1-1 draw against Palermo on Sunday but any deal for Fabregas would hinge on a Brozovic departure.

Juventus may be set to reignite their own interest in the Croatian but general director in Turin Giuseppe Marotta is only willing to spend in the region of 20 million eruos (US$22.5 million) to 25 million eruos, although Inter is worried about selling the player to a direct rival.

Inter is also looking to strengthen before the transfer window closes and is eyeing central defensive recruits, monitoring the situations of both Ezequiel Garay and Martin Caceres.

However, the former seems closer to a move to Valencia, while the Uruguayan who is a free agent has question marks surrounding him, namely the fact that he is recovering from a serious injury and the situation surrounding Inter’s non-EU squad quota, with Caceres being considered unemployed after leaving Juventus and problems will exist if he continues to reside in Italy.(SD-Agencies)
