SOMETIMES you just need someone to be there for you when you’re struggling. Especially if, like Hoshi an American Eskimo dog from Washington, you’re blind.
Luckily his best friend, a Pomeranian named Zen, has his back and leads him around, helping out when he can’t do something.
The pair’s parents, who document Hoshi and Zen’s adventures on Instagram account The Fluffy Duo, say the dogs are inseparable.
However, it wasn’t always this way.
Hoshi grew up begin able to see, but when he was 11 he had to have his eyes removed due to glaucoma.
Luckily, his parents rescued Zen six months before Hoshi’s operation.
The dogs quickly became inseparable, spending every minute together.
The pair’s owner, Pauline Perez, told The Dodo that Zen seemed to realize when Hoshi became blind, and started helping him. “They are hiking buddies,” she explained. “We attach a leash together and Zen does the leading. Even if they’re on two separate leashes, Zen walks beside him.”
This regular occurrence, of Zen leading Hoshi around, is document on the duo’s Instagram account with photos and short clips.
Scroll through their feed, it’s almost impossible to see the video of the small Pomeranian leading around the slightly bigger Husky in the park and not feel your heart swell.
The pair also go swimming together, playing in the park, and enjoy cuddling up in bed together at night.(SD-Agencies)
