    Three suspects were detained by police in Longgang District for allegedly stealing over 20 license plates. They would leave a note with a QR code on the victims’ cars asking them to scan the code and pay 200 yuan (US$29.85) via WeChat in order to redeem their license plates, the Guangzhou Daily reported Tuesday.
