Flute concert by Tang Junqiao

    Chinese flute player Tang Junqiao and her band to present a night of Chinese folk music.

    Tang is an associate professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, member of Chinese Musicians’ Association, and a board member of the Bamboo Flute Academy of the Chinese Folk Instrument Association. She is also the principal bamboo flute of Shanghai Chinese Orchestra.

    As well, Tang was invited to record a flute solo for Ang Lee’s movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.” As a musician, she is often invited to participate in world festivals, such as France Modern Music Festival, Beijing International Music Festival and Macao International Music Festival.
