 Tourists visit Star Avenue in Seoul, capital of South Korea, on Thursday. The city announced Thursday the launching of Welcome Week from Friday to Oct. 7 for Chinese tourists, who will have a seven-day National Day holiday that runs from Oct. 1 to 7. South Korean media estimated about 250,000 Chinese tourists would visit South Korea during the week and spend around 3.6 billion yuan (US$571 million).
