Chinese pop singer Zhang Jie will perform a solo concert Nov. 26 at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.
Zhang made his debut at TV singing competition “My Show” in 2004. In 2007, he participated in another national TV singing contest “Happy Boy,” which made him popular nationally.
In 2014, Zhang took part in celebrity singing contest “I Am a Singer (Season 2)” and later that year, he held his first live tour, “Fight for Love.” Zhang was invited to perform the theme song, “Light the Future,” in the opening ceremony of the Nanjing Youth Olympics 2014. In November 2014, Zhang was presented with the International Artist Award at the 2014 American Music Awards, making him the first Chinese singer to win the award. On July 20, 2016, Zhang performed the Chinese theme song “Lost in the Stars” for the movie “Star Trek Beyond.”
