‘New Creatures’

    Contemporary art projects by 37 artists from eight countries and regions are exhibited at the OCT Art and Design Gallery. Themed “New Creatures,” the exhibition presents new art and designs that use materials in an unconventional or experimental way in the form of paintings, pictures, sculptures, videos and installations.

    Huang Binhong

    Paintings and calligraphy by Chinese master Huang Binhong are on display. The exhibition is divided into three sections, showcasing Huang’s landscapes, flower paintings and calligraphy.

    Hou Dengke’s photos

    Photographs by Chinese photographer Hou Dengke (1950-2003) are on display. Born in a village in Shaanxi Province, Hou was a worker and later an official for a railway company. Farming and migrant workers are the themes of his black-and-white photography.

    Cantopop

    Cantopop singers Joey Yung and Hacken Lee will give a joint concert this weekend.

    Lee is a Hong Kong singer, actor, television host, and football sportscaster. Yung has also won numerous awards.
