THE 2nd International Makers Achievements Exhibition kicked off at the Shenzhen Bay Inno Park in Nanshan District on Thursday, as a significant part of the Shenzhen International Maker Week, attracting large crowds of visitors.

The exhibition will last until Tuesday.

In this exhibition, myriads of new technologies and products are being exhibited at booths of invited makers and entrepreneurs, including VR, AR, mini drones and artificial intelligence. Incubators and accelerators from home and abroad are presenting their latest achievements and programs and are looking for potential cooperation partners.

“This is my first time to take part in such a maker week. I’m so astonished at the scale of the exhibition. People can find many interesting high-level inventions. We also brought our leading products Traveler and Solar-ship here,” said Sam Memory, the international marketing manager of Kuang-Chi, a Shenzhen-based enterprise in metamaterials and space exploration.

Maker groups from different fields including Troublemaker, an international maker team, SegMaker and Atom Maker, took part in this exhibition, making the exhibition a feast for technology.

“This is so big. I just got a map. I still had no idea of the VR area. I’m already lost,” said a visitor from Finland named Pique.

This exhibition of makers achievements is reportedly one of the biggest in China. The local government and the media have paid great attention to it.

High-tech products like robots, drones and VR equipment have attracted many curious visitors.

“I’m very fond of such exhibitions as a technology otaku. I also hope to find suitable business partners,” said Wang Jun, a visitor who works at a technology company.
