    Old photos of China

Riboud is best known for his extensive reports on the Far East. Xiao was his assistant in China. In 1957, Riboud was one of the first European photographers to go to China and he also made several reports on Vietnam. Riboud was witness to both the Vietnamese and American sides of the Vietnam War and the Cultural Revolution in China. Later he traveled all over the world, but mostly in Asia, Africa and the United States.
