STEPHEN CURRY made history Friday night, becoming the fastest player ever to make 1,600 career three-pointers in the Warriors 122-114 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Curry reached the milestone by hitting his fourth and final three in the third quarter. He shattered the previous mark set by Ray Allen who hit his 1,600th in his 693rd game.
Friday was Curry’s 497th.
If he can remain healthy, there is little doubt he will also shatter Allen’s all-time record for most career three-pointers at 2,973.
The two-time MVP is currently 19th on the all-time list for made 3s, sitting below former Warrior Jason Richardson in the 18th spot by just nine. There are only eight active players with more career triples than the Golden State point guard. (SD-Agencies)
