    Ang Lee honored at Britannia Awards

    Six people, including two 2016 awards hopefuls, were honored at the 25th BAFTA-LA Britannia Awards on Friday night.

    During a non-televised ceremony at the Beverly Hilton that was emceed by the British comedian and rapper Doc Brown and, as always, recognized Brits and non-Brits alike, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” director Ang Lee was presented with the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing and American Pastoral director and star Ewan McGregor was presented with the BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Humanitarian Award.

    Justin Bieber explains why he walked off stage in Manchester

    Justin Bieber penned a letter to his fans on October 29 night explaining why he abruptly walked off stage mid-show during a Purpose world tour stop in Manchester, England.

    Twain to be Awarded at Billboard Women in Music

    Billboard announced that Shania Twain and Halsey will be honored for their inimitable contributions to the music industry as part of Billboard’s 11th annual Women in Music event, to be held on December 9 in New York City and airing on Lifetime on December 12. Halsey also is scheduled to perform at the gathering, which will honor Madonna as 2016’s Woman of the Year.

    Actress announces second marriage

    Chinese actress Zhang Yuqi announced her second marriage on October 26, 15 months after she divorced Golden Bear award winner Chinese director Wang Quan’an.

    The new couple tied the knot 70 days after they met each other, according to Zhang’s statement. Zhang did not reveal the identity of her husband.
