    Co-hosts

SUPERMODEL Gigi Hadid and former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Jay Pharoah will co-host the 2016 American Music Awards.

The pair will run a broadcast with a major roster of performers including the just-announced The Weeknd, as well as Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj, Shawn Mendes, John Legend, Fifth Harmony, James Bay, The Chainsmokers with Halsey and Carlos Vives with Shakira, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Bruno Mars, Twenty One Pilots and American Music Award of Merit honoree and performer Sting. The show will be broadcast live Nov. 20 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

    ‘The Simpsons’ renewed

SPRINGFIELD has plenty of reasons to celebrate. “The Simpsons” has been renewed for seasons 29 and 30, it was announced Friday.

The double-season renewal will allow the long-running animated comedy to break the record of most episodes of a scripted series ever. “Gunsmoke” is currently on the top with 635 episodes, but at the end of season 30, “The Simpsons” will have reached 669 episodes.

    Sting to perform

STING is set to reopen the Bataclan concert hall Saturday, one day before the anniversary of last year’s deadly Paris terror attacks, which saw 90 killed within the venue and 130 killed across the city in a series of attacks at local bars and restaurants and outside of a stadium.

The British rock star will play songs from his new album, “57th & 9th,” to benefit the charities Life for Paris and 13 Novembre: Fraternite Verite, designed to support the victims of the attacks, their family members, caregivers and loved ones.

    ‘Bach’

GERARD DEPARDIEU has joined the cast of “Bach,” an upcoming biopic on the 17th century classic composer Johann Sebastian Bach. Max Von Sydow, Axel Milberg and Marianne Sagebrecht will co-star in the feature from “That Good Night” director Eric Styles.
