Tom Hanks, Natalie Portman win at HFA
    2016-11-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The 20th annual Hollywood Film Awards have wrapped up in Beverly Hills, with Tom Hanks and Natalie Portman among the top winners.

Hanks won the actor award with his performance in the biographical* film “Sully.”

Portman was crowned with the best actress award with her role in “Jackie.”

Eddie Murphy shared his feeling in receiving his Hollywood career achievement award.

“I’ve done a lot of movies. Over the last 36, 35, 36 years, I’ve done over 40 movies. And I’m happy with at least half of them. You know. I think we’ve done some special stuff. We’ve done a bunch of movies where I thought we’ve done special stuff in ‘Shrek’ and ‘Coming to America,’ ‘Nutty Professor’ all have things that are timeless, ‘48 Hrs.’ I’ve done a bunch of things that I think work no matter when you see them.”

Oscar winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio won the documentary award along with Fisher Stevens, with their work on climate change “Before the Flood.”

And Nicole Kidman received the supporting actress prize for “Lion.”

Julianne Moore, Kate Hudson, Justin Timberlake and Mel Gibson all made their appearance at the ceremony. (SD-Agencies)
