Photography easy with Yi M1 camera

FOR shoppers who want a top-quality camera but are stuck on a modest budget, the Yi Mirrorless M1 Camera is a great option. It’s one of the latest cameras on the market.

The Yi M1 digital camera offers the ultimate image experience capturing 20 megapixel still images and stunning 4K video at 30 frames per second. With two types of interchangeable lenses, the 12-40mm focal length with an aperture range of F3.5-5.6 and 42.5mm focal length with aperture of F1.8, it can meet the demands of any photographer. Its 81-point autofocus grid system covers the live view region and provides fast focus response. The camera features the latest Sony imx269 image sensor, supports an ISO range up to 25,600 for shooting in poor lighting, as well as 2,000-megapixel and wide dynamic range video.

While the above-mentioned technical specifications can be baffling for any amateur, the Yi M1 promises an easy operation with 3-inch touch screen user interface — just like using a smart phone. The built-in app “Master Learning” helps you achieve any desirable visual effect.

What’s more, it offers templates and composition tips.

As a young homegrown brand battling for the market against other established foreign brands, the Yi camera has been striving for breakthroughs in every aspect of its products, from outlook design to image performance and user-friendly operation.

At a weight of 280 grams — battery included — it’s portable for travelers who prefer less baggage and the built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth offer a seamless connection to a smartphone for sharing.

The camera includes an MFT mount system compatible with more than 50 interchangeable lenses from a host of camera companies.

It’s one of the top-five best-sold cameras on JD.com in the past week. Some users commented that there is still room for improvement with its focus speed, adding that at this price perhaps they could not hope for something more perfect.

The YI M1 is available in two colors — silver and black. It is priced at 2,699 yuan (US$397.5) for both lenses and the basic package with a 12-40mm F3.5-5.6 lens is 1,999 yuan on JD.com. The 42.5mm F1.8 package is priced at 2,499 yuan on Tmall.com for the “double 11” shopping festival.
