Three classical music concerts will be held this weekend at Nanshan Cultural and Sports Center.
Italian pianist Gilda Butta will collaborate with cellist Luca Pincini to present compositions and soundtracks from movies “The Pianist,” “Impromptu,” “The Mission,” “An American in Paris,” “The Legend of 1900,” “The Godfather,” “Life Is Beautiful” and opera “Porgy and Bess.”
Germany-based Kazakhstani violinist Roman Kim will play Beethoven’s “Violin Sonata No. 5 in F Major,” Gounod’s “The Jewel Song,” Paganini’s “Cantabile,” “La Campanella,” Bellini’s “Casta Diva,” Tartini’s “Le Trille du Diable,” Verdi’s “Ah, Forse e Lui.”
Japanese-American violinist Ryu Goto will collaborate with Chinese pianist Shi Jiayi to present Chen Gang and He Zhanhao’s “The Butterfly Lovers,” Franck’s “Violin Sonata,” Wieniawski’s “Theme Original Variation,” Takemitsu’s “Hika,” Gluck’s “Melody” and Ravel’s “Tzigane.”
