Forget dramatic soap storylines for entertainment, wildlife programs are clearly where all the real action is on.

    The Internet has gone crazy over footage of a brutal penguin love triangle captured by the National Geographic Channel for its new "Animal Fight Night" series.

    A fight breaks out when a husband comes home and finds his wife with another penguin.

    A cuckolded penguin completely flips out in the clip after coming back to his nest to discover the mother of his children has moved another penguin into their home.

    The penguin, stunned by his cheating wife's antics, challenges the male rival to a fight, but comes off second best in a bloody brawl.

    "Every September, 200,000 penguins come here to fix up their nests and breed. Life is good, but this husband has come home to find his 'wife' with another penguin," the narrator explains.

    "He flips out; his strategy is simple, batter the homewrecker until he flees. Most birds have hollow bones in their wings to make them lighter for flight, but penguins don't fly, their wings contain solid bone. They use them like baseball bats to club each other, delivering up to eight blows per second. Thick blubber helps protect vital organs from the pummeling."

    "She chooses the homewrecker," the narrator adds. "The husband stands to lose the mother of his children. He follows them home, this fight isn't over yet. With the homewrecker hiding in the burrow, the only way to get to him is a beak attack."

    The fight escalates, but the cuckolded penguin comes off worse.

    "Penguins usually use their beaks to gouge their burrow, now, they are gouging out eyes," he adds.

    "He makes one last plea to the female, but she's got no time for losers. Defeated and humiliated, he's left out in the cold. He'll lick his wounds and move on."

    One Twitter message said, "When you wake up, you realize that one of your most popular tweets is about a penguin love triangle."

    "This was painful to watch. If human beings were like this, all men will know how to fight. Bloody world it will be," another said.

    在视频中，公企鹅回窝后发现自己孩子的妈妈把另一只企鹅带回了窝，被戴了绿帽的他暴跳如雷。

    公企鹅对妻子的出轨感到震惊，遂向情敌发出挑战，但却在血腥打斗中败下阵来。

    旁白解释道，“每年九月，二十万只企鹅来到这里修建窝穴，繁殖后代。这里生活安逸，但公企鹅回家之后发现妻子出轨了。”

    “这只公企鹅暴跳如雷，办法也很简单，只想付诸武力，赶走小三。大多数鸟类的翅膀骨骼是中空的，这让他们更加轻盈，便于飞翔，但企鹅的翅膀骨骼是实心的，因为它们不需要飞翔。它们的翅膀像棒球棒一样用来击打别人，一秒钟最多能掌掴八次。打斗时厚厚的脂肪能够保护重要器官。”

    旁白补充：“她选择了第三者，公企鹅眼睁睁地失去了孩子妈。他尾随他们回家，战斗仍未结束。由于第三者躲在洞里，他只能用喙攻击。

    战斗升级了，但公企鹅输的更惨。

    旁白接着说道，“企鹅往往用喙来挖洞，而如今他们却用它啄眼睛，”

    “公企鹅向妻子发出最后的哀求，但妻子对他置之不理。被情敌打败，被妻子羞辱，他伫立在寒风中。他只能舔舐着伤口重新开始。”

    一条推文说，“起床后，发现推特上最火的竟是企鹅三角恋。”

    另一条说，“看的时候都觉得痛。如果人类也像企鹅一样，那所有的男人都能学会打架。世界一定会变得很血腥。”
