Come join the Go! Design Community event this Saturday in Shekou organized by Design Society.

    With the notion of “How we engage with and make an impact on the community,” the all-day event will be delivered in mobile venues (the People’s Canopy) to showcase flexibility and openness for interaction among the participants. The market will gather 11 local designers, makers and creative professionals. In the workshops, children and tech-lovers will be encouraged to re-think the means and values of technology through different forms of design practices.

    As the first public event hosted by Design Society, GO! Design Community characterizes itself as a pop-up surprise, as an attempt to activate its community and public engagement. The event encourages designers, makers, schools and cultural ambassadors to connect and share with each other on community development through enjoying a diversity of design culture and experience. At night, a party will be taking place to keep the fun going! To begin with a theater piece that showcases Shekou locals’ memories through various performances brought by groups of all walks of life.
