Feast for Meat lovers
    2016-11-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Belle-Vue restaurant at the five-star Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is offering Surf and Turf — a high-quality beef and seafood buffet — to meat-loving gourmets.

The restaurant promises to bring the best they can offer, as all the beef served is imported from Australia, where natural farming methods and the untainted environment guarantee the taste and health benefits of their products. To give due respect to the choice ingredients, the chefs at Belle-Vue have carefully planned Australian recipes according to different cuts of the beef.

A nation of migrants, Australians love beef and all the ways of preparing it. Patties made with a dozen ingredients, including tender ground beef, beet roots and roast pineapples, give a rich and unique flavor. Sirloin beef roasted on fruitwood, luscious and juicy, is a dream come true for every gourmet.

The chefs have also prepared roasted whole beef shanks imported from Mayura Station to be served on the weekend. Roasted at low heat for 16 hours, the beef goes perfectly with a green pepper sauce. Having imported its first live full-blooded Wagyu cattle from Japan in 1998, Mayura Station in South Australia’s Limestone Coast is the biggest Wagyu cattle station in the country now. Its rich, natural pastures and an abundance of clear water ensure the top quality of their beef products.

Besides beef, the buffet offers a variety of seafood harvested fresh from the Pacific. Oysters, lobsters, king crabs, flower crabs and yellowfin tuna are all available at the sashimi bar; mussels, scallops and hairy crabs are steamed fresh to maintain that perfect light flavor.

The buffet lunch will cost 228 yuan (US$33.4) per person between Monday and Friday and 358 yuan on weekends. Dinner will be 398 yuan per person between Sunday and Thursday and 498 yuan for Friday and Saturday. All prices are subject to a 15-percent service charge. The feast will be free for children under 6 and half-off for those aged 6-12.
