Classical music live at Lianhua Hill Park
    2016-11-21  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Audiences watch pianist and Shenzhen Goodwill Ambassador Lang Lang play at the 2016 Lianhua Hill Glades Music Festival on Friday evening in Shenzhen. This past weekend, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Budapest Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Youth Elite Symphony Orchestra and Spanish Jaen City Symphony Orchestra presented popular classical pieces at five concerts at Lianhua Hill, such as “Pomp and Circumstance Marches,” “Schindler’s List” and “Carmen Suite No. 1.” The three-day free activity was organized by the CPC Futian District Committee, Futian District Government, Shenzhen Municipal Urban Administration Bureau and Futian CPC Committee’s publicity department (the Futian cultural and sports bureau). In its third year, the festival not only encourages locals to enjoy classical music but also advocates enviornmental protection. Photo by courtesy of A.C. Orange
