Rescuers work at the accident site of a 57-vehicle pileup on a section of the Beijing-Kunming Expressway in North China’s Shanxi Province. As of yesterday, 17 people had died and 37 others had been injured. The accident happened at 9 a.m. Monday due to snow and rainy weather.
