WHAT happens when you have some time on your hands and an extremely dry sense of humor? For one Belgian man who goes by the name Average Rob, he decided to Photoshop himself into images of celebrities to really liven things up at a time when he felt people needed it most. Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Selena Gomez and even The British Queen all make an appearance on the spoof Instagram account full of celebrities in strange situations. Rob’s page bio, which is plastered with the hilariously images, jokes “Haters will say it’s Photoshop.” The talented 24-year-old, who posted his first image in 2015 of him attempting to shave Belgian footballer Marouane Fellainni’s Afro hairstyle, says it’s all a little bit of fun. “I started the Photoshops with the main purpose to make people smile more. “There is so much negativity in news nowadays, I think it’s important to have something to laugh about too. So that’s my main objective: smiles, and lots of them!” Rob, who has just graduated with a Masters in advertising and marketing and works as a freelance content creator for Belgian magazine HUMO, says that the time to create each image depends on finding the right celebrity pose. “If it’s very actual it takes less time than when I have to come up with a concept on my own,” he explains. “The whole process mostly takes around two to three hours, and finding just the right picture of the celebrity takes most of the time. When I know exactly what I want to create with the picture, it takes around one to two hours to take the picture of myself and Photoshop myself into it.” There’s several amusing appearances from Taylor Swift, who Rob gives a telling off because she’s left her toys lying around while swinging in a wicker chair staring off into the distance. British pop star Adele is also among those enjoying a close moment with the prankster as well as Jennifer Lawrence who looks as though she’s about to get soaked by Rob divebombing into the pool right behind her.
