
A representative of Studio Marco Vermeulen of the Netherlands receives a trophy at the 2016 Idea-Tops award ceremony in Longgang District, Shenzhen, yesterday. Eighteen design works in 18 categories stood out from a total of 90 nominees to win the award. Nine of them were designed by architects from Singapore, the Netherlands, Britain, Austria, the United States and Italy, while the other half were by designers from the Chinese cities of Shenzhen, Taiwan, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou and Suzhou. The award has attracted 6,020 entries submitted by designers from 35 countries and regions since it was launched in March. The most influential, internationalized and authoritative design award in China, Idea-Tops aims to discover and praise the best designers and design works around the world.Sun Yuchen |
