Pricing proposals for trams in Longhua
    2016-December-9  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A PUBLIC hearing will be hosted by the Longhua government Dec. 21 about the ticket pricing of trams that will be put into operation in Longhua New Area, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported Thursday.

According to the pricing proposals, the prices of each tram ticket would be 2 yuan (US$0.29), 2.5 yuan and 3 yuan, and each passenger only has to buy one ticket for the whole journey.

The 11-kilometer tram line in Longhua New Area will have three routes — two going from Qinghu Station on Metro Line 4 to Xinlan Station and Xiawei Station and one going from Xinlan Station to Xiawei Station.

The tram is expected to carry up to 32 million passengers per year. It will be the first tram line in Shenzhen, and a trial run will be launched between January and March next year, according to the report.
