SHENZHEN Airlines opened a flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday to strengthen its presence in the Southeast Asian market.
The departing flight, ZH9029, operates on a daily basis, leaving Shenzhen at 4:40 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and at 5:10 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It arrives at Kuala Lumpur at around 9 p.m. The returning flight, ZH9030, leaves at 9 a.m. and arrives in Shenzhen at 1:05 p.m.
During the promotional period, a fare for a single trip is 180 yuan (US$26). A round trip ticket costs 250 yuan (tax not included).
The route to Kuala Lumpur is the ninth international route operated by Shenzhen Airlines to cities including Tokyo, Singapore, Osaka, Seoul, Jeju Island and Bangkok. Its network covers major tourist cities in Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.
In addition, Shenzhen Airlines will add flights to Singapore starting Dec. 20 to meet the growing demand and lay a solid foundation for international commercial flights.
“In 2017, we will introduce wide-body airplanes, such as Airbus 330, for Shenzhen Airlines’ intercontinental air routes. It has been decided that Air China will open a route to Melbourne, and Shenzhen Airlines will open intercontinental routes to Europe, North America and Australia,” said Wang Yi, director of the PRD Passenger Market Center of the Marketing and Sales Committee of Shenzhen Airlines.
